We are thrilled to share that we had a fabulous Floriscount filly foal arrive yesterday morning at 4.30am - beautiful, long-legged, and uphill neck with 4 white socks and white star.

She will definitely be a tall, elegant girl.

Absolutely delighted with her and can't wait to see our coloured Floriscount baby due next month.

Ok, just for you!

Will post better pics when I get her outside

About 11 hours old - please click on the thumbnails

Gorgeous! He certainly seems to stamp them, Can't wait to see some more pictures of her as she grows up, how is mom bred?

Thank you, devilwoman :-)

Thank you, too, Flyingcolours.

Yes, you are quite correct re Philippo - so she is related to your V Pr St Panachee

I went to Allbreed and saw that the parentage is Philippo x La Bamba. So I think the German breeder of the foal - Pink Lady - from that match was the Lorey family. I am friends since years with the owner of Philippo and have met a lot of the mare owners that brought their mares to him. He died just about a year ago. Pink Lady was born the same year as Panachée.

Thank you, flyingcolours - it is very interesting to hear that you know the owner of Philippo - (I wish I had met Philippo - I had no idea that he was still alive as recently as a year ago). If you had any pics of him that you might like to send me, I'd be very grateful.

Sadly, Pink Lady also died recently at 19 years 6 months - I keep in touch with her British owner, Sue Simmons, who bred my broodmare and she is on the BHHS committee.

Nice to see photographs of Panachée on your website and looking so well.

oh, I do have plenty of articles and pictures of Philippo. Send me an email and I will send them to you. Panachee is in super health and still looking like a young mare. I will breed her again this year, she had some time off now but once she shows up with a good heat she will be bred. I have just to decide who. She would be Hanoverian main book but since they do not allow the Palomino color, she is Oldenburg main book. I hope one day the Hanoverians understand that Palomino is a color as any other color.

Very kind of you -I will do just that - thank you.

I noticed that Panaché was Main Book Oldenburg - she's a lovely mare - and I also agree re Hanover and colour full stop - not just dilutes.

Thanks, Special Design! :-)

To those who have messaged me asking where the new pics are....well. it's just not the weather in Scotland at the moment for a photo-shoot..but as soon as the weather changes... :-)

Many thanks to all who enquired about this stunning filly foal - she has now been sold at just 5 weeks old!!!
FIRENZA FB goes north to her new home at the end of September - many congratulations, Paul!

Thank you, angrovestud :)

And thank you too, special design - and LOL!!! yes, you can go a lot further north than us - we are southerners in disguise ;P
