I need to invest in a new "every day" head collar - the one that gets used to take horse to field and back and generally gets left hanging at the gate in all weathers or outside horsey's stable! So, I have started to look round to see what's out there and maybe get a different colour/style etc from the tatty old one. So, can someone tell me .... What the heck is going on with all this fluff!!!! Fluffy nose bands, fluffy sides, one that was so fluffy everywhere that it wasn't immediately obvious where the buckle was. Then there are the one's with added fleece bits with patterns (and extra fluff!). Plain, none fluffy ones are available, of course, but it seems that fluffy is the latest trend in head collars. My horse is a mare too ... but she's definitely not a pink, fluffy sort of girl
Is this the latest style and are our poor, delicate little ponies really so in need of all this padding? How does it stand up to being left outside in a rain, or dropped in mud? Anyone got one and wants to try to convince me to go for it .... ?
