Fly repellent for ears

I used to use Radiol fly cream that kept flies away for 4 days. Not found anything as good since. They have stopped making it. It was not at all greasy. Thank you. I have not tried Sudocrem for that. Can only try !

Ha! Yiu have just reminded me that I have some Red Horse Ear Balm. I will put it on my mare's ears tomorrow and report back. I usually use it if she rubs any patches out of her face and it seems to work nicely for that...

never come across the red horse balm, but I like greasy stuff for ears as it's not cold so they don't mind it going in. a little smear of NAF D-itch or the nettex Itch-stop works well.

We use the wax-based repellents from www.eqwax.co.uk for ears. They are soft wax-based balms that you can wipe or sponge onto the ears. Very effective and long-lasting and translucent in colour too, so can used when competing without having to worry about having odd-coloured ears!
