Fly rugs - anyone have this one?

I think it's a gallop one and yes I have got one. Mine is in white though. I brought it as it as My pony had a new Amigo flysheet at the start of the summer and managed to completely trash it in under 2 months, Hence why I then brought the cheapest I could find.

TBH it is pretty rubbish, slips back, slides all over the place, the belly band comes undone, there is always a 3 inch gap between the neck cover and the actual rug, I could go on.

You may find it fits your horse perfectly but Next time I will be buying her a trusty old Amigo as I know it fits her well.

You really do get what you pay for!

I have just ordered a MT fly rug like this...

A few people have cheap ones at my yard and in all honesty they are rubbish, don't go to the ears when grazing, are gappy underneath, etc. Ted needs to be trussed up like a chicken as he is covered in bites and now has sweetitch too, so have decided to go for trusty MT and keep fingers crossed!

Yes, another recommendation for the MT one...my mare is a hooligan and was loathe to spend that much. But I tried a cheapo Derby House one, didn't fit, was poor quality etc....
The MT doesn't slip (tho I've had to take the leg straps off because they were rubbing her delicate skin

) washes well, and is coping with her rolling, galloping about and generally being a nuisance!

both of mine have MT ones and they are fab fit really well, however i have ordered a size down on both od mine as they do come up quite large.

I have the shires maxi-flow one and I really like it, no complaints at all. Doesn't move, hard wearing and does the job well.

Everyone else at the yard has the Rambo Sweetitch Hoodies which seem to work really well, except that some horses can't keep their ears in the holes. Doesn't seem to affect the rug much though, just makes them look silly.

I didn't get one as my boy has a really short neck so I needed a detachable and adjustable neck cover, and also I worried they might be a bit warm for him (hairy cob, the others are TBx's).

I hope one wasn't a 5ft9 as I had the last one yesterday (It's my local tack shop)
I can give another big thumbs up to the MT one. Brilliant. Both boys have also got Amigo Mios and Darcy has an Amigo bug rug too. (He gets very distressed with sweet itch and flies unless he's covered head to foot!)
