I left my new boy in his comfortzone fly sheet last night to come down to yard to find it was hanging off his back he gets very badly bitten by fly's, do you all keep these fly sheets on over night and which makes are the best to stay put anymore suggestions for keeping flys at bay would be appreciated has any one tried the snuggy hood fly sheets !!

I leave my horses rambo sweetitch hoddie on overnight and it never moves. Normally he does have a rain sheet or stable rug or both on aswell though. Never tried the snuggly hoods ones as they seem very expensive for what they are. X

ive got the rambo sweet itch hoody, the snuggy hoods sweet itch rug and a pagony rug so ive always got 1 clean and dry - my favourite is the snuggy hood rug, followed by the rambo rug, then the pagony but they all do a good job - my boy has one of these rugs on all the time otherwise he ends up in a mess - i dont usually have to use any lotions or potions if i keep him covered up! :) x

I have a masta fly sheet out in it 24/7 as the midges are worse at sunset & sunrise. Stays in place pretty well, but only has a fillet string so ones with leg straps would be better for a horse that likes rolling alot.

I have just got the Rambo Flybuster with Buzz Blocker. It is the best fly rug I have ever had and for the first time in years my horse is not stamping his legs, flicking his tail or biting at his chest to get at the midges etc. You can actually see the flies hovering at a distance from him before flying away - absolutely fantastic! The only downside was that I found these rugs to be small in sizing and I had to buy a rug two sizes bigger than normal to accommodate large shoulders/chest of my lad. It also has a fantatsic wrap around belly piece that stretches right over his belly and he therefore no longer sits in the field rubbing his belly along the floor and making it sore. I wish I had got him one of these rugs ages ago as he is so happy in it!
