Right,I'm going to jump on the bandwagon here

What would be the correct attire for in-hand M&M showing?If my little newfie EVER grows any balls and he comes home before the summer ends then we'll be venturing out and about,in either breed classes,or general M&M.....local to start with to get him used to the show atmosphere

Wouldn't want to have a lovely pony and have me look utterly ridiculous next to him!

I would go for some beigey coloured trousers (standard Gap stretchy ones are good), tweed jacket, shirt and tie, gloves and brimmed hat and jod boots.

The hat is personal preference, but you will normally get a variety of cloth type hats rather than riding caps.

Apart from the welsh, where they have to run fast and often wear trainers with studs to stop themselves from slipping over, most M&M handlers wear similar outfits.

He's a gorgeous rich bay colour,so any particular tweed colour?I have a brown herringbone tweed,would that be OK,or should I invest in something else?

Brown herringbone sounds fine unless you need an excuse to buy a new jacket!

This is what I wear for inhand showing (ignore hairy Dales yearling doing a giraffe impression!)

My shirt has been tesco dustered, and I wear brown suede boots - I will probably change my trousers for this year though, and my hair is now short enough to put in a bun, so I will do so this season!
