Llike babies and small children they go down fast and recover just as quick, this morning he has scoffed tons of feed, fresh picked grass and drunk massive amounts of milk.
He is back drinking from his Mum again and so because the sun is shining and there is a paddock just a few steps from their stables, we have turned them out for half an hour's sun. Won't be more than that as he is still quite weak but he's marching behind her and the walking will get those massively swollen lower limbs functioning again.
To see him trot (actually trot!) into the paddock brought tears to our eyes.
I'm a firm believer in a little sunshine and fresh air does you a power of good, his catheter is well wrapped up but oh he does look thin....How he could go from a chunky fit looking foal to skin and bone in three days is uincredible.
Will try and get some pics later..
