I thought I'd introduce the saint of a dog I grew up with Lucy.
When my parents brought me home they put me on my mat on the floor, Lucy sniffed me from head to toe and laid down next to me and ran to get my mum when I grumbled.
She was 'my' dog when I was little. I learnt to stand by holding on to her
and took her for walks 'by myself'
at 3yo.
She was just such a gentle and loving dog. She was so quiet with me yet was partial to a good loon when the mood took her.
She was PTS when we discovered she had cancer of the womb aged 18.
