Thanks for all your replies on my Am I Mad thread below
So, seeing as I'm not going to be able to use the pelham, I'm going to have to sort out some brakes in a snaffle...eeek!
I have a full cheek snaffle, and a cherry roller snaffle in my tack box. I've had a look on the BD website and it doesn't mention cherry rollers - so is that one out of the question or might I get away with it?
Other problem is that both of those bits are jointed - Murphy much prefers straight bar bits but I can't afford to buy a new bit at the mo (anyone got a straight bar snaffle gathering dust that would like a new home?!) Could I just attach my reins to the snaffle ring of the pelham and take the curb off as it's a straight bar bit?!
I will swap his bit over and start doing some practicing in the school - any advice for this? What do I do if he completely ignores the bit?! Help!
I can see my dressage test going something along the lines of
"Enter at C. Accelerate. Accelerate more. Exit at C"
