Hope it is a false alarm for all the Farmers but I will be upset if it is confirmed as it looks like The NEC is in the zone which would affect HOYS
 
They say we will know in 72 hours for sure but the farm in question is on quite a busy commuter route about 2 miles from B'ham Airport and the NEC, bloomin marvellous eh? I'd say go to Solihull RC tomo you may not get another chance.
 
Just hoping its a false alarm,they cancelled Atherstone Hunt teamchase earlier in the week, which was to be held about 8 miles from the farm.Which was strange, did someone know something!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the same bunch of state staff, the AHO, that came to scrapie test my sheep a few years ago and took about 8 attempts to find the jugular vein to take the blood sample. Blood and gore - literally.....
 
Oh god no, I really hope it is nothing.
It is edging it's way further and further up the country, fingers crossed for the farmers in the surrounding areas. Less than 100 miles away from mine

Hope to god it's not bluetongue as that is much worse. There is no treatment & it is spread by the cullicoides midge. Vaccinations is not sucessfull.
70% of infected stock die from it. It is in the Netherlands at the moment just hope it doesn't get here as that is the last thing we farmers need.
It still causes the same movement restrictions as F&M.

This goverment just doesn't want farmers.

Don't know bout you but we still haven't got single farm payment & was suppose to have that July!!
Corn prices up. Getting us from all sides.

Our land they can't convert into homes so they are scuppered there!!

They just want this island to be a tourist attraction & nothing else.

Well when they have pee'd us farmers off enough that we pack up & then they have to import everything.
Those boys will nail them by upping the price cribbling this country.

Northern Rock is safe via the goverment & us taxpayers money why don't the goverment do the same for us farmers.
This week we were due to sell 500 ewes had already bought 300 lambs, am now stuck with both lots & to feed plus that extra 500 to lamb next year!!!!
What joy.
 
can't win in the countryside

gov. don't want farmers and most local councils don't want horses

you begin to wonder what they DO want to do with the countryside (apart from build airports, housing estates, superstores, etc)
 
I think you've hit the nail on the head Reynold. Until there isn't a green blade of grass left I don't think this lot will be happy. Makes me sick.
