This is the same bunch of state staff, the AHO, that came to scrapie test my sheep a few years ago and took about 8 attempts to find the jugular vein to take the blood sample. Blood and gore - literally.....

Hope to god it's not bluetongue as that is much worse. There is no treatment & it is spread by the cullicoides midge. Vaccinations is not sucessfull.
70% of infected stock die from it. It is in the Netherlands at the moment just hope it doesn't get here as that is the last thing we farmers need.
It still causes the same movement restrictions as F&M.

This week we were due to sell 500 ewes had already bought 300 lambs, am now stuck with both lots & to feed plus that extra 500 to lamb next year!!!!
