100 pounds per month per horse. For that we get a reasonable size stable with water & electric. Individual paddocks but me and daughter share ours. We have our own barn with just the 2 stables in and tons of storage. We also have our own secure tack/feed room which is huge! We manage our own paddocks so turnout up to the individual. Small indoor school, great hacking. Yard kept nice and tidy most of the time and any repairs get done quickly.

£33 per week, includes stable, year round grazing, morning feed put in, and either turnout/rug up or bring in/hose feet/change rug as preferred.
Access to sand school with floodlights and fields for summer riding. Second school and horsewalker being constructed. Quiet lanes for hacking out. Three miles to nearest riding school. Onsite parking for trailers. Storage areas for feed and tack, liveries have their own keys. Ten horses and one pony in total.

The horses get out for eight to ten hours per day, unless the weather is too wild, then they get kept in and are given ad-lib hay and water throughout the day.

YO will step in at short notice to do everything for an extra £4 per day:)

Hay for sale on site at £3.50 per small bale (my mare needs one a week, unless she is in all day every day when it can be twice that amount)
Shavings are £6.40 per bale (again, one bale does me a week)

Total: £42.90 per week, livery, hay and shavings, plus the odd£4 extra for emergency days. Very happy indeed! Also, very nice yard and YO.

Very, VERY simple here... The yard is on a working farm so it's 100% DIY... They are a lovely couple who'll help out hugely if they can (stayed when my youngster had to be pts from a gut torsion and ensured she was buried the next morning) but they don't supervise the yard or manage any of the horses...

£10/pw for stable (with automatic water) and turnout... Small outdoor school... A small tack room and a small animal shed to store feed, haylage etc... Large bales of haylage are £25 and delivered the same day...

No restrictions on turnout, close to home, parking, can use whatever bedding you want and nice hacks around the farm or the local forest... Plus the rugrats get to help out feeding orphan lambs and calves in the spring... :D

It's very basic but I'm glad we got in there...

£105 a month, including lovely indoor airy stables (most with rubber matting), floodlit 60 X 40 outdoor and well lit 30 X 20 indoor, storage lockup for hay/feed/bedding (shared between 2 people), morning feed put in all year round and horses turned out included in livery during winter months so no early mornings neccessary, seperate grazing paddocks (One paddock each for summer and one each for winter, 2-3 horses per paddock usually your own horses in your own paddock as most of us have more than one horse), lovely hacking, Riding club onsite (so regular shows and competitions as well as regular social events), lovely people (who very rarely move!) and an amazing YO....can you tell I love it?

My mare is on DIY, it's £130 a month. This includes a fair sized stable with lighting, as well as ad lib hay/haylage and straw. Shavings can be provided at an additional cost. Turn out is available for most of the time, but if it gets really wet and muddy they might have to stay in for a few weeks. There is a flood lit outdoor school, I'm not sure of the exact size, but it's slightly bigger then 20x40. There is also a decent size jumping paddock with a full set of jumps and a pen for lunging and loose schooling.

My gelding is on grass livery, which is £60 per month and includes full use of the facilities and during the winter I can give him some additional hay if there isn't much grass. Our yard is quite nice to be honest, there are quite a few unruly kiddies running about l, which can be worrying at times as I'm surprised there hasn't been an accident yet!!

Mine is £30 per week, per horse for stable, turnout and use of facilities which include 2 schools, excellent hacking and horse walker.Hay, bedding and feed you have to buy yourself, which can be bought from the YO, who grows the hay and straw himself and buys in the rest.

£130 pcm for a large stable, menage and use of grazing. Also has injury paddock. Its near West London/m25/m1 though and not the cheapest yard in the area but well worth the money for the people on it! Also due to this hacking isnt great but people do box out and also if your prepared to hack out a bit futher you can get to some good places. There is a nice green to canter on 2 minutes away though literally next to the yard, moors you can go in the river just off of the green and 2 lots of woods you can ride through which can all be done within an hour. Others must like it as yard is full :).

There are 8 boxes at 130 (large horse boxes) and 8 boxes are 112 a month (small horse or pony boxes). Yard is fairly well maintained, its all post and rail fencing which is fixed as soon as it is broken by the yard managers, school reguarly harrowed, yard and barns kept neat and muckheap also kept neat (all by yard managers and some of the liveries). Yard owner maintains fields with topping, muck spreading and hedge cutting etc. Also liveries help each other with their horses if they want to in rotas and a couple of people offer services. Also there are a couple of freelance grooms that will come in so you know there is always the option of help if you get stuck!

£25 per week for stable/24-7 turnout/use of outdoor.

Yard has large barn for storage of bedding/hay, auto waters, big tack cupboards in stables, floodlit lights, plenty of fields for grazing, good hacking which is on yard if you don't want to go in roads, kitchen/toilet... Oh and a kettle :p

I love it and it's calmed my horse down loads. I'll be staying there for as long as possible. Nice people and quiet!

we pay £130 per month for stable,paddock(small-limited grazing),60x30 rubber and sand arena, tack room which is a container, but does the job,and limited storage.I pay an extra £10 to park the horse box.Lights come on via a timer, which is a pain as during the day they are not available if needed. We have to pay for hay, bedding and everything else. But yard is fairly small with some nice people, and the owners are very helpful,do any repairs and seem unphased by the odd equine delinquent.

sounds alot for one horse for diy and not exceptional facilities-'lights come on via a timer' wouldnt like that.but if you happy and its friendly yard who cares?

£100pm. Stable, 24/7/365 turnout (in a fairly big herd), auto water in fields, starvation paddocks, storage area, lunging ring, school (which we're waiting on to be finished), huge xc course, lots of off-road riding, toilet, 2 shows within hacking distance, always someone on site and great people. Can't fault it, really.

Last yard was £85pm. Stable, 24/7/365 turnout offered (though nobody actually left out 24/7, including during the summer), school, jumps, small herd, auto water in summer field, no off-road riding and the hacking left a lot to be desired, better grazing, plenty of storage but rarely anyone on site and only really bumped into people on the weekend. Bonus was that it was a lot closer to home.

It's hard finding the right combination. Having said that, the only fault of my current yard is that I wish it was a bit closer!

£25 p/wk for stable and all year turnout with good fencing.
£8 p/wk for unlimited straw - good quality
£11 p/wk for haylage/hay - good quality

Turn out is great, 20x40 outdoor school (really good surface and well maintained), 20 metre lunge pen, large barn stable, auto water drinkers in stables + fields, good sized private tackroom, plenty of help if needed, miles of bridle paths right on the doorstep, friendly and helpful yard owners and people on yard, part/full livery offered tailored to suit needs at very reasonable cost.

good parking, trailor parking offered but unsure of price. Easy to get to (good road access), owners repair yard as soon as it requires it.
Facilities for food/drink. Microwave, kettle, vending machine, hot drinks machine.

Im in the Scottish Borders and pay £65 per month for my DIY livery- that includes field and stable, each stable has its own tackroom through the back that locks. Water and electricity and shared use of barn for storing hay/straw etc
Yard is fairly basic but is well maintained by most of us who keep our horses there.

I pay £100.00 per month, its a farmer that runs it and the yard is run down and untidy. The farmer does nothing so if you need anything fixing you do it yourself.

Horse walker - when it works
Own small paddock
Outdoor school (50x80) with horrible lighting and it's never harrowed
Stables
Hacking not all that good

The reason I haven't moved is because it's just across the road.

£20 a week.

Y/O will feed and check all horses in the morning.
All day grazing in summer and an hours grazing in winter.
Great big stable with automatic water feeder, lights, electric and a huge tackroom!
Free use of a full size arena with jumps. A lunge pen. A pen about the size of the arena used to put horses in to get them out of the way (while mucking out ect.)
Hay, haylege, straw and shaving on site.
Great YO who does an hours lesson for £10 or does your horses for a day for £5 and she'll always help out:)

Only drawback is hacking:/ quite a bit of roadwork to get anywhere.

But I love it:) wouldn't stable him anywhere else!:D

Not much hacking, but we do go round the farmers fields.
Have to supply our own bedding and hay.
YO lives on site and a yard man who feeds & turns out in the morning. Only 5 liveries so nice and quiet

I'm at Uni in Essex and DIY there is £56 pw for stable, turnout, straw, hay, use of the schools/jumps, hacking etc. It's extortionate but i have no other choice as i dont drive. at home (hampshire) it's £50pw for better stables, better turnout, use of a school and hacking, straw, hay is extra, again expensive but the yard is 'home' for both of us so it makes it better xx

£90 per month for LARGE stable in an indoor american barn system with hot running water and wash down areas indoors, one 20 x 40 outdoor arena which never floods and a slightly narrower half covered woodchip arena for turnout/ lunging/ schooling in the snow if your horse can hold himself up round the corners, use of showjumps, and good grazing (out 24/7 during summer).
Haylage during winter months is £40 per month for 2 big haynets (stuffed) of very good quality haylage (many of our horses don't have hard feed as its so good at keeping weight on them), or you can buy small bales of again good quality, hay for £6 per bale (hay and straw provided by the yard, anything else you use you have to buy in). This is the first yard my boy has settle in properly and he looks the best he ever has. The company is good to minus a few petty girls who want to ruin the whole experience for you but if you ignore them they move on soon enough. We also have lorry and trailer parking, locked tack rooms in each barn, rug rails, brand new toilet outdoors, kitchen and seating area and plenty of great hacking with mountains and valleys one way and the beach the other (you can't get down onto the actual sand but close enough with a field to gallop alongside the water. Were in west Wales :)

£90 PCM (stable, grazing and use of facilities) Hay on site but is expensive. Lovely rubber x sand school with lights, sand lunging area, big area for storing hay/bedding, small area for feed & grooming stuff, no tack room. (DORSET)

High security, owners on sight. Short but unnerving hack to the common on quite busy road, luckily all the horses are very good!

15 stables LOADS of grazing, we all get on very well, had a few hiccups as all yards do (like when someone but a horse in with my herd and cost me £700 in vets bills! GRR!) but generally everyone will help eachother out and haven't had anything stolen! Nict atmosphere and reasonable rate, meaning I can afford to have two!

Only downside(?) is that mares and geldings are separate and there is LOTS of mud! Happy yard though most of the time :D Oh...Kids & Dogs welcome!

So glad my YO doesn't come on here - it might give him ideas. :D

I pay £23/week for grazing and a stable. Hay and straw are grown on the farm and are £3 and £2 respectively. When the weather turns bad, we will come off the fields for about 6 weeks, until they recover. Grazing is important, it being a beef farm.
I have a storage space, including a pallet.
No poo picking, beccause he shifts the fields around so her grazes his cows on the fields.

It's a lovely friendly place and I wouldn't be anywhere else.

I Pay £34 per week for stable and grazing with day turnout in winter and 24/7 between April and October. This also inlcudes an outdoor school (bit boggy but acceptable!) with showjumps. Fields are nice, always have grass and the herds are well managed. Lovely yard owner (BHS Instructor). Right by a country park so no busy road riding, only down the lane to the park which is quiet (but you have to pay £70 per yr to the park for the privelidge!) and right by the motorway so good for transport. But 'DIY' literally is rent only and morning feed chucked in. Anything else is extra (£2 to/ bi and £6 per day full livery). Its the most expensive DIY yard i've been at but definately the best :)
