The horse did a sudden duck out from a jump at the last moment, before going off bucking. As you can see I was a little caught off guard :o!

Great photos!

I can't quote on my phone. But landing on your feet is not a good idea either! Better to roll, as I discovered.
Landing on your feet can cause a high impact force up your body. I ended up with a broken back and ankle.
Tuck and roll all the way. Easier said than practiced!

Ouch! Sounds awul. Does a tuck and roll around the neck count, like this one? You don't get the force behind you to break anything...

Please don't land on your feet!

I know it's hard not to but I did it at low speed and even then made a horrendous mess of my knee :( I'd have been much better landing on my butt or in a ball.

Great pictures though. They did make me smile (inbetween worrying for your legs!)

I like the last one where he's a bit deep and you can see him say......"my god, is that really a coloured pole.....whoa.....hold on tight....missus.......we're going to give this one a wide berth" !!!!

Brilliant....lucky you had the camera there!!
