I have committed the cardinal sin of unnecessary clipping!

Titchy is coming back into work this week, having been turned away. So off came the feathers, the mane and tail have been pulled, and I trimmed the beard. In my infinite (misplaced) wisdome, I decided to do a bib clip as well as she is so fluffy. No problem, Titchy was fine. So I did her belly, again, no problem... until she moved at just the wrong moment. So we have ended up with a small chaser clip, and the pony that never gets rugged is now happily eating in the field... with a rug on!

Can you find it in your hearts to forgive me? Please? I'll give you cookies!

That's it then - you've probably just guaranteed a snowy winter where we can't do anything! At least that's what happens to me every time I clip.:o
My mare's trace clip has now grown out and I'm debating whether or not to redo it, I might hang on til after xmas.

I'm guilty, clipped my friends cob fully out, he barely gets ridden once a week, so shoot me, he does wear 3 rugs tho :D

She will be fine I clipped the whole body of my out of work mare:eek: she looked like a yak and was scratching herself stupid so off it came she is much happier now and still feels warm.

I don't see the problem, unless they are poor doers, and they are rugged properly. I'm fully clipping mine that's on box rest until February in the next few weeks as she's getting very itchy being stuck in her stable 24/7 all hairy.
