Yes I thought I'd done all of that. The first time I didn't enable mark up but I thought it would work the second time. May try again. Love your foals in your signature.
Daddy-to-be is bay, as was his sire, but his dam (Baby Welton) is very definitely grey. I don't know Tills' parentage at all, so don't know what colours she might be likely to pass on.
I've had 2 greys before (at the same time, I must have been nuts!) and now think I've done a lifetime's worth of washing/shampooing/bleaching.... I don't want to do anymore!
You won't get a grey foal then as Tils is bay, grey is dominant so you have to have a grey parent to get a grey so you can go and celebrate it will not be grey!!
Grace is WBxTB and just starting her competing career, but eventually I would like to breed a foal from her as she is by a stallion called Ginola du Rezidal (Greeton du Rezidal) who used to stand at High Offley and has some lovely breeding behind her through him. I think I would put her to a stallion like Jazz or Sandro Hit
(better get saving now then):
I also have Hannah, an IDxTB of unknown breeding who has a decent conformation, but is nothing exceptional to look at when she is not under saddle. She is 12 this year and has just produced a lovely Pro-Set colt who I am aiming to keep. He has just been registered with SHB(GB) as JetSet Rebel. Hannah is being brought back into work when she has weaned Troy, and she will be affiliated when she is fit and competed from Novice (she was doing unaffil Elem before):
Was interesting reading about Handsome Sailor on your mares page, I rang weatherbys and spoke to some bloodstock agents and they told me he's bred both group one and NH winners, didn't know his sire line also bred jumpers - that kind of explains why Gem jumps so well. Many people think she's ID X TB cause she's 16.1hh and has a lot of bone for a TB so think some substance may have also come from the dams sire line too. Gem's conformation isn't particularly good and she cribs but she certainly jumps, is brave and really tries and her temprement is second to none. Excuse my daughter not wearing a hat but I dont have one that fits and she was screaming to sit on her and I trust that mare implicitly, someone once set a chainsaw off about 6 ft away from where she was just standing half-asleep in the yard and she just opened her eyes and gave them a filthy look for disturbing her!
This is mine when she was looking elegant (just before she went to be put in-foal last year). Anglo Arab (Naresh/Prince Sadik - May Reef/Mill Reef). She's now 6.
and this is her with resulting foal by Carnaval Pleasure (Carnaval Drum/Voltaire/Ramiro)
Sadly, she didn't get in-foal again and I have just been gloomily totting up how much money I have thrown away trying. . . . .[£683 and that's not including the stud fee which was refunded and the stud hasn't charged me for any of the multitudinous scans - cheers guys, bless you!]. . . . but looking forward to having another go next Spring!
