Foster/rehoming with not neutered dogs

Then they aren't cut out to be a dog owner, are they? Helps filter them out.
There is a huge difference between finding that the dog you have at home and have loved for several years has got cancer and dealing with that and knowingly taking on a dog that you are told is likely to get cancer because it had been neutered.

It’s not like every neutered dog is going to get cancer. I think you are getting a smidge carried away here!

No, I am suggesting a reason for prospective owners not wanting to risk taking on a neutered dog.
I won't have another Rottweiler, as we have lost 3 young/ish Rotts to cancer out of 3. Nothing to do with neutering though.

Fair enough, I suppose. It isn't the view that I take, but I can accede your point. I tend to presume in advance that any animal I take in will end up breaking my heart in one way or another.

You might want to look at the research
I have, I guess pros and cons are different for everyone

Edit to add; I have a long post to type on this topic, focusing on rescues dealing with lowest common denominators of society so have to cater to that demographic but I'm on my phone and don't find it easy to type long posts on it. In general the HHO dog ownership isn't that demographic but most rescues are limited with time and resources so have to have blanket rules

I will foster whatever dog a rescue allows me to have. I’m really not sure what point you’re trying to make

They are desperate to rehome these dogs. I imagine if you ring round a couple, you will have yourself a dog by the end of the day.

I’ve been trying to foster a dog but many rescues refuse as my dogs aren’t neutered.
Does anyone know the logic and research behind this?
I have the space to keep everyone separate until they’re comfortable
My experience of dog & cat charities is they have a "not neutered = bad owner" mentality.

One of my dogs isn't castrated so obviously I'm not agreeing with them but I can see how they get there. The local volunteers are mostly tired, demoralised and dealing with a huge throughput of upsetting situations, many of which are caused by indiscriminate/accidental matings. I think they come to a place where they have a tunnel vision response that every animal neutered is a small step towards reducing the total level of suffering.
I knew a vet who did massive amounts of charity work. He really was an amazing person. But if you wanted him to help you at all, with any illness or injury, you had to agree to having the animal neutered. - "You want the fracture fixed you also get it spayed!" It had become the centre of his mission.

I'd guess that once you said your dogs were entire they didn't hear anything else you said; just categorised you, ticked the box & tried to end the call politely!
You might find that if you get to know them, maybe do some other volunteering, then you might get somewhere.

It's not difficult to understand, you were pretty strident when said you don't agree with dogs of type being 'murdered' and there will be stacks of them looking for homes in a 'safe country', Facebook is awash with rehoming appeals.
