Good for you TraceyAnn. In your situation I would do the same and consequences be dammed. Sometimes you just have to do the right thing - I find it easier to live with a clear conscience. If I was nearer to you I would come and help soak haynets!
I wouldn't bute until the vet has been though, just so they can see exactly what is going on.
Lastly, might be worth videoing the horse walking for the vet tomorrow ...... it will cover your own back in case of any comeback.
Well done to you and completely agree with the above. Hope the horse is Ok and doesnt go back to its owner. Being over cautious these days is due to fear of reprisal and thats why some of these bad owners get away with it and the animal is left to suffer in the meantime. I wouldnt bute etc until its seen either. Fingers crossed then.
