So I noticed today that my boy has a fractured/cracked bottom incisor tooth. It's cracked right down the middle of the incisor, so half of the tooth is still embedded in the gum and then there is just a massive gap, where obviously the tooth has broken and gone, so it's just gum, and then the next incisor... and because of the gap you can see all the blackness up the side of the tooth. Poor pony
(sorry it's explained badly).
Calling the vet/dentist tomorrow asap. He's fine in himself, eating, drinking, everything normal, other than the past 2 days, after i've ridden i've noticed some white sticky snot out of his right nostril, but it's not running and it's not constant, and isn't smelly, so not sure if that's even related?
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this? How possible is it the tooth will get infected/what are the symptoms? Do you think it will need extracting? Do they always extract a fractured tooth?
TIA
