"free assisted" DIY saga continues - put it in writing now !!!!!

Simple - you didn't do anythign to get into 'this mess' but you sure as h**l are doing something to get out of it! (keep going, you're doing great btw)

Hi... just wanted to say well done, & add a couple of my thoughts...

1... I think you got into this mess by being on the yard... Their mess, their problem

2... I seem to remember an advert on TV recently were a toddler in the supermarket went to have a tantrum, but then his mother totally upstaged him... I keep wondering what would happen if you did this to them. I don't recommend trying, but it might amuse you to think of it when they are carrying on...

Keep up the good work, and remember to tell yourself that you are amazing!!

Just want to add my support SM. Don't give up, don't give in!! I was thinking about your situation yesterday as I was driving to my yard (as you do...sometimes other people's situations are easier to think about than your own..) and ended up creating a few alternative acronyms for DIY.

Drama In Yard
Demented Insane Yokels
Dancing In Yoghurt (!!??)
Donkeys in Yashmaks

hi Shysmum have just caught up with your thread (making self late for work in process!) and wanted to add my support - you are doing brilliantly and these women are beyond description! If people treat me like that I always think, how horrible it must be to be them and have all those horrid negative thoughts going round all the time - far better to be you and be a lovely person (which you clearly are). We are all rooting for you. xx

many thanks ! The support from here has really been great, and the advice has carried me through. I am doing fine, am very tired with all the past stress, but enjoying being with my pony and keeping to myself. We have lovely riding, and are making the most of it before this "supposed snow" arrives.

Hope everyone is well. x

Good for You Shysmum, for rising above all their nonsense!

I wonder if they know how ridiculous their attitude is, trying to force their own rota onto another horse owner!
x

I think its great you are standing your ground....but!! Sorry to throw a spanner in the works, and maybe it wont arise, what happens if you cant get to the yard one night? Have you got someone who can do your horse for you? It just worries me that you are seemingly saying an unequivacle NO to helping with anything, they will most probably say the same to you? maybe it could be time for a little compramise? (again, if I am speaking out of turn I am sorry, you have got to do what is right for you, not others.) xx
