Absolutely pointless post but so pleased I've now got it done, while I didnt think I worried about them being out over night or worried about them being taken, I actually feel, I dont know, calmer is the wrong word because I never stressed about it, but I just feel........I really dont know how to say it lol but I am pleased I have had it done

Mine are microchipped but I got them freezemarked about 1 month ago and I know how you feel.
It will be even better in about 1 week time when the raised area is scabby because the mark shows up better.

I got mine done too and feel so much better!

I was horrified at how long they hold the irons on for though - I though it would be 30sec or so - woman held P's on for a couple of mins for each!

And (without wanting to hijack your thread, sorry) - how long does it take for the 'scarring' to go down? Piper was done 4 weeks ago and the marks are still raised and feel like scars. Scabs came off 2weeks ago and there's a little white hair starting to grow through, but it's still bumpy. It's on his saddle area too

Thankfully he won't be broken for a while yet but you're meant to be able to ride after a week?

Having my youngster done tomorrow - how was it for yours? Very painful? Did they stress a lot? And how quickly did they start to feel better etc? I'm having him done on the shoulder.

Thanks!

Had to have my boy redone yesterday as only small patches and a few white hairs came through.

She held the irons on a lot longer this second time. It took a week before I could ride again last time and he only had a couple of scabs and its those scabby areas that got the white hair, the rest just came back his normal colour.

It was 16 weeks ago that I first got him done and it seemed to heal pretty quickly last time but because irons left on longer this time I am presuming it'll take longer to heal.

Missing riding already and its only been a day!!!

My 11.2 had sedalin and a twitch, she was no bother

without it she would have killed us both, but then she's a cow anyway

My Asbo pony barged his way round the stable, knocked the woman in the head with the twitch and made a fuss, but even when he has his vaccinations he thinks you are trying to kill him

My bargain bucket TB x ID didnt like it much, but he's a wimp too

And finally my mare just stood there eating pony nuts
