frozen carrots

do you feed carrots when they are frozen , i dont meant like out the freezer but i have a sack of carrots at the yardwhich have frozen a bit because its so cold , should i feed them
 
i feed them frozen. Dont think it really matters

I still feed them, but I try not to let them freeze in the first place. Mine are in a plastic supplement pot, buried in the middle of my chaff bin (with chaff!) and with a stable rug over the top (which the morning's feed gets put inside) and bin lid on top of all that. It really works - no frozen carrots since I've started doing that!

I do and all mine are still alive!!, no different to them eating frozen grass when out...
 
Our 32 year old Welsh A was free ranging around outside when I was rugging the others this evening, he came into the barn and started on the net of frozen carrots, which was still knotted. He has them grated or finely sliced into his feed - he can graze, but not eat hay - but he'd crunched about 5 huge carrots, without splitting the net, so there was a mush of frozen mashed carrot at the top (he had that instead of grated carrot tonight)!
