woke up this morning to a frozen toilet, frozen pipes and no water. We found out where the water pipes run under the yard and to the house and lit shavings fires along the route to thaw the pipes (looked pretty wierd in the snow with fire 'roads' through it!) and then managed to flood the kitchen, utility and porch! Crying with laughter!!!! Fawlty Towers eat yr heart out!!!!!!

Least you have kept your sense of humour about it all.

Our yard toilet froze up, unfortunately I didn't discover this until I tried to flush it. :o

Arrr but you don't mind leaving little presents in your own toilet (in times of crisis) however leaving them in someone else's... is a different story :o:D

From my grandads experience do not attempt to put paraffin down the loo and then sit on the loo with a fag, he couldnt sit down for a few days :D

I'd like to see that experiment on Myth Busters - it's hard enought to light parafin with a naked flame let alone with sparks from a fag. Petrol would do it but in this cold even that is doubtful.

My grandad is no longer with us but its a story he used to always tell when it snowed. Could have been petrol...you've doubted my memory now. lol
