Fun thread - if you has a race horse

The trouble here is you have to name them before they hit the track and once they have ran the name can not be changed. You could think you had the next Derby winner at home but on the track it was useless. The same coin flips the other way. One of the laziest, most uninspiring horses I have ever sat on on the gallops was a bloomin good horse on the track!

But if I could I would have a really good horse called The Outside and a really crap one called The Favourite.

I'm pretty sure my favourites have already been used at some point- Badly, Topless, Nicholas. I'd want something a little bit silly for sure

Or along those lines- naked, slowly, half-cut, backwards, etc ;)

I'm sure there was a showjumper years (decades) ago called Topless, which the commentators understandably hated!

"Pheasant Plucker" at sixteen letters, including the space, meets the limit of 18 letters, but might fall foul of rule that a name should not be "lewd, crude or offensive".

"Fell at the first" is seventeen letters, including the spaces.

"Antidepressants", "Steroids" and "Crack" would be fun. Imagine those three in the same race, and the commentator announcing "Lester Piggott on Antidepressants, Willie Carson on Steroids and Steve Cauthen on Crack".

Ho ho... "TrialForTaxDodging" is bang on eighteen letters.

I think the first is on the banned list as are many that can be mispronounced.

got to be Zoomy McZoomface surely :p

There is a Horsey McHorseFace I think in Aus. Or maybe I am thinking of Dalgleish's one ... I will go investigate ...

BP one called Lockdown ran on Monday I think in a 2yo maiden.

Eta Grumpy McGrumpface is Dalgleish's horse! I knew he had one along those lines! And yeah Horsey McHorseface is in Aus.

They must have left it fairly late to name it, I guessed someone would use it and we will probably see a fair few versions in the next few months.

I was trying to think of something appropriate for a foal born next year, Lockdown Liaison could be suitable:)

"Spatial Awareness" and "Social Distancing" are both seventeen letters.
"Furlough" is only eight, and could cause commentators some twisted tongues in the final furlong.

I kept getting the same weird typos on the voice dictation at work. Could be good names although I can't remember what it was supposed to be.
Baintrees Eddie
Highly mucinous Teddy (probably less that one)
