Bit belated, but for those who were interested, I'm very relieved to say that Saffy's biopsy results showed the 2 lumps were benign.:) On the down side, after doing nearly a week not bothering with her stitches she decided to have a little chew so I thought I had better put the buster collar on to make sure she didn't do further damage. Bad idea, my usually laid back girl freaked out big time, throwing herself about, rolling around, she wouldn't even let me near her to take it off again at first. Anyway eventually removed it and the wound had opened up more. So another little trip to the vets, and she now has a neat row of staples, vet couldn't believe when I said she had thrown a fit, he commented how chilled she usually was. To prove it they were able to staple her up without sedation, and after a bit of t'internet searching I managed to find a comfy collar (like a rubber ring) and after paying a small fortune for special delivery she is now wearing that. Whilst she isn't exactly impressed with it she is accepting it and it seems to be doing the job, son fingers crossed she will heal up this time, although the staples have to be in for at least a week, preferably two so we've a bit to go yet.

Silly Saffy! Great news about the biopsy though:)

She might be ok with staples, Henry had them in after his operation last year and he never bothered about them at all, he didn't even need a buster collar:)

Yay, so pleased about the lumps, and I feel your pain re the stitches! Shades of me sleeping on the sofa and wakening at the slightest noise....

I've seen those collars before, glad it is doing the job.

Sorry I have missed this one MM, I seem to be going around with my eyes shut recently! But very glad that the results came back as benign :):):)

Hope the staples heal soon, they always look awful when the vet puts them in but they certainly seem to do the job :)
