Bit belated, but for those who were interested, I'm very relieved to say that Saffy's biopsy results showed the 2 lumps were benign.
On the down side, after doing nearly a week not bothering with her stitches she decided to have a little chew so I thought I had better put the buster collar on to make sure she didn't do further damage. Bad idea, my usually laid back girl freaked out big time, throwing herself about, rolling around, she wouldn't even let me near her to take it off again at first. Anyway eventually removed it and the wound had opened up more. So another little trip to the vets, and she now has a neat row of staples, vet couldn't believe when I said she had thrown a fit, he commented how chilled she usually was. To prove it they were able to staple her up without sedation, and after a bit of t'internet searching I managed to find a comfy collar (like a rubber ring) and after paying a small fortune for special delivery she is now wearing that. Whilst she isn't exactly impressed with it she is accepting it and it seems to be doing the job, son fingers crossed she will heal up this time, although the staples have to be in for at least a week, preferably two so we've a bit to go yet.
