Does anyone know of some sort of dog food which will make the most fussiest dog want to eat? Shes on Bakers atm but has stopped eating it the past couple of days so iv had to add canned cr*p into it so she will eat it. Theres nothing wrong with her she just sometimes refuses to eat dry dog food!!

She has good taste, Bakers is mulch :o

Try her with something like Skinners (email them for stockists, I found them very helpful) James Wellbeloved or Arden Grange.

You can also supplement with tuna, natural yoghurt, eggs etc.

If you are not going raw, then google Fish 4 dogs and order a bag and a bottle of salmon oil or the meat pouches or skinners dry and mix in tins of sardines (a hell of a lot better than a tine of dog meat and much better for the dog), when feeding give a 5 mintue window, if not eaten take up and nothing more offered till the next meal and no treats inbetween, otherwsie u will make a rod for you own back:p:D

You could add some warm water to her dry feed to bring out the flavour and encourage her to eat. Or you could try weaning her off tinned food mixed in her dry food to entice her to eat her normal feed. Just be careful she doesn't decide to stop eating every time she gets bored of her food so you end up spending lots of money on different dog food to get her to eat! If she's well and there are no underlying health problems, she will eat if she's hungry!

Sent an email to Skinners, the Ruff and Ready one sounds good! I think i seen the James Wellbeloved stuff in the pet shop last time i was there so we shall try that if i cant get the Skinners. She lives outside so dont want her losing weight :D

I would stay away from the ruff and ready. The ingredients are pretty horrible.

Having looked at their products i suggest you go for Fish4dogs or james wellbeloved.

The duck and rice one is well recommended on here, and smells like the actual main ingredient, which is unusual for a lot of dry foods :p
Just didn't work for us because of the protein levels (ITCH!)

Fish4dogs isn't that easy to get hold of here KLH.

Everyone should share the joy of pouches of stinky pink-beige fish gloop. :D

Seriously, I have two industrial-sized boxes of the things in the cupboard, somebody come and eat them... there's only so many kongs you can stuff!

lol i like the "yokels" :p ... Il try the James Wellbeing first then and see what madam ginger thinks of that lol ... Shes rather strange, so far the products she wont eat are; Bakers, Pedigree, milky bone biscuits, pigs ears, any kind of bones and iv forgotten the other dog foods we've tried
