hmmm, not quite the same as the snaffle you wanted! lol
dont think there is much you wouldn't be able to stop with that in, well, unless it hurts the poor thing so much they run away from it!

if someone needs something like that to control their horse then I really think they should consider another hobby, cant be safe to have a horse who needs that in their mouth just to stop?!?

kinell. ouchies. the swoop hasn't got as much leverage though, has it? gagavator looks as if it would stop a runaway train, let alone a horse. yeukkky. wonder how many horses have gone over backwards in that contraption, just in shock the first time the rider touched their mouths?

That's what i thought when i read the bit about how much control you'll have, no horse i know would do anything other than rear or run backwards with that in its poor mouth!
Lol - totally agree about new hobby. The 'need' to manufacture bits like this does make me wonder if there are a lot of horses out there that are not physically/mentally fit to be ridden and this is the solution?

probably, there are some people out there who will do anything to "make" their horse do what they want. poor things are probably emotionally traumatised from just having it in their mouth!

didn't even know such a thing existed till I just looked at it on ebay! horrid name, but then looks a pretty horrid bit too really!

I know! Its ridiculous, I want to buy a full cheek, lozenge bit for my horse but cannot find one unless I want to spend £60 + and am wondering if a french link will be too strong

But then I am well known for over bitting

Defo, I can't imagine anyone disciplined enough with their hands not to ruin their horse would ever need one of these so it'll be some numpty pulling and hauling at it. Tragedy is these people always seem to end up with gems of horses that just put up with it

cotswold sport (cotswoldsport.co.uk/shop ) do a steel lozenge full cheek for about £20, their website is down at the mo but worth a try

I'm just trying to find the image of the gag that had like 5 rings, then a shank and then two mouth pieces
