I love dogs.
I have owned dogs.
I don't have the time to devote to having a dog/dogs in my life right now, so I just make do with loving everyone else's
BUT. I'm really disappointed that over the last few days on my rides through the forest, all I've seen is churned up dog-poo bags.
The forestry commission have just done their usual spring job of mowing the sides of the tracks ready for the next season's growth. It is THE most beautiful spot. Hundreds of acres of woodland and tracks, open to everyone, mud-free and just gorgeous.
I must've counted 20 or more on a half hour hack this morning. Are the bags biodegradable themselves or are they just going to preserve the poop? I've also seen far too many hung in tree branches.
And what in Heaven's Name makes people take a poo bag with them, scoop up the poo and then ... HIDE IT IN THE UNDERGROWTH OR A TREE!!??
End of rant and apologies to all those who DO pick up the poop bags.
