Difficult!!!
We are planning to take the boys to the beach mid Sept (Happy Birthday to me!), but thought we'd better practise stopping, steering and for CS, going, first!!!
Lovely farmers have given us kind permission to ride on some nearby stubble fields. So, a short trip into the field across the road, et voila...
Fig is, um, fast. And I may have got a little bit run away with at the end! He was super sensible though, and we had a walk and a trot on a long rein, a sweet canter and then came back round for a gallop. I didn't ask him to go, I just let him, as wasn't sure how he'd react!

Next up, CS!!! Who did a respectable 20 yards of walk before insisting on cantering slowly sideways... But, he did sensibly canter up the long side towards home and then came back round and REALLY shifted. PS quite rightly, leapt off as soon as they were next to the gate!!! But he crossed the road and walked up the drive seemingly, chuffed with himself!

So now.... We want to take them to some gallops! (after all the AF's and ROR etc!) I'm not bothered about not being able to stop if they're in the right situation - we did walk the fields with Team Mascot Phoebe Dog and shifted any huge rocks etc. but if they're on a proper surface on a continuous loop, there's less to worry about.
Still a bit scared for the beach....
