The ones with differing compartments?

Anyone know if it's ok to pour the feed directly in their separate compartments (chaff, calm and condition, and a balancer) or must they be kept in the sacks they came in, and the whole sack put in, just in case they "sweat"?

Thanks x

Mine is so big I'd need about 6 bags to fill each compartment! As it is, three bags fit in each compartment comfortably with room to spare. I figured that this would be the least messy option. If I were to tip in, I would probably use a large bin bag so I can get to the bottom easily.

I leave mine in the bags as its difficult to stretch down to the bottom when its nearly empty. Also finish feeds at different times, so wouldn't be able to tip the dregs of one side out before putting new feed in.
However, I'm only feeding 2 horses and in summer the bags last longer which is why I like to make sure there's no old feed left at the bottom.
