I know this is something that has been done before, but can anyone help me that has had experience with gastric ulcers? I bought my boy in January, we had our problems but we got over them and things started going really well. Unfortunately over the last 4/5 weeks things have taken a turn for the worst. He has got very grumpy, I now have issues brushing him around him belly area, he is naughty to do the girth up and he is just generally lashing out. He kindly booted me twice Wednesday night while I was just trying to pick his feet out. I have read quite a bit about gastric ulcers and think this may well be the issue (will call my vet Monday), but wondered if anyone could share their experiences. My chap is out 24/7, has been for the last 5mths, but there isnt a great deal of grass, he just gets a handful of mollichaff daily so I can give him his supplements (flyfree and biotin). I have started to feed hay out in the field, but despite little grass he looks well weight wise. How much does the scope cost? What are you now feeding? Are you feeding anything to prevent them coming back? Thanks
