Have just heard through the grapevine that ester has broken her elbow. Not sure how, but I believe she was going showjumping today.

hi guys, one handed typing- no capitals and poss typos! thanks for the vibes, we were doing a 2'9 jump off at little local rc sj an was jumping fab but completely missed on the last fence, was pushing on and frank just took off miles away, very ublike him, much more he would chip in but it was one of his spooky fillers. He completely tripped over it, think pole got stuck between front legs and bellied shot me clear. then he rolled half way over on landing. He squashed my leg with his belly but I shouted and he went back the other way and in his scrabbling completely missed me bless him.

obv I stuck my arm out an have pretty much gone straight through the neck of my radius, thanks for the pms, typing is taking ages ao won't reply.

Frank seems ok, he scraped his nose and is stiff behind but will check in morn and speak to vet if nec, but giveb he was such a girl when he pulled his shoulder don't think anything too bad.

So thats my 3 for the year, give up on 2009, franks shoulder, my ankle, my arm. can't believe that had him for 4yrs and for first 3fell off loads but fine now fall of a bit less and keep busting myself, both times on v hard ground so might stick to arenas for a bit.

mrs m which bit did you do of your elbow?
 
Ouch - healing vibes for you.

I broke my elbow doing something similar, whatever you do make sure you keep moving it. The stupid hospital put mine in plaster, then took it off when they realised they shouldn't have but never gave me any exercises to do so I now have less movement in it.
 
have a half back plaster on atm, but only up to wrist which is good, fracture clinic in the week. Unfortunately this is a bit complicated with PhD but at least i did my sponsor presentation last friday!

That is what they put on me, I get to the facture clinic and they took it off straight away. Your break is probably different though.

What is your PHD in?

No plaster. Didn't realise it was battered for a week - tried to get back on Dizz straight after doing it. No wonder it hurt lol. Couldn't figure out how to get off her later though - every which way I looked at it, I needed to use my left arm

Ended up being sort of hauled off by hubby (interesting when hoss is 16.2hh). Continued to drive for a week as I didn't even think of it as being 'broken' in any way, just thought it was complaining from being squidged. Ho hum.
