Query re time of the month and riding.

Rode yesterday and found some chafing you know where. Not a problem when not that time...

What method of leakage prevention is better to avoid chafing in delicate regions while riding?

Thanks!

Not sure about them for riding - a bit worried about the string bit getting somewhere uncomfy and rubbing.

Somehow all my rides have missed the inconvenient times up til now!

The string is fine! It seems to get tucked up in your bits and you very rarely notice it. I would never consider riding with a pad - too noticable under breeches & too much leakage risk - ugh!

I use both forms of protection - if using a pad then best ones are the ones with wings that are *cotton feel* and I use the purple packaged ones that are supposed to be for night time as they are longer and less likely to move. Big pants too obviously!

Definately use tampons! I've never had a problem with the string being uncomfortable and rubbing - I don't ever notice it tbh (I sort of tuck it somewhere out the way).

Thanks - much appreciated.

When doing my other sport (also involving white breeches) I use pad, tampax and cycling shorts (extra layer before white outside), but have always preferred pads. Overkill is the way forward in my view so the ability to use both is fairly key.

Thanks again

I only ever use pads and have never had any problems.I agree with "weezy"The best ones to use are th cotton feel ones and night time or super and as long as your jodphurs/breeches aren't too tight shouldn't have any problem with people being able to see them!

TBH, you shouldnt be sitting on 'that' anyway, you should sit on your bottom!

You should be sitting on all three bones equally, so you will infact be sitting on "that" or your "foofoo" whichever you wish to call "it".

I can't use tampons when I ride, according to my Dr I have v strong pelvic floor muscles and I end up pushing down far enough for them to be painful! So I have to use pads.

You could try a different brand, I think it's Bodyform that are sort of cottony instead of the plastic Always are made of.

Don't think I was sitting on the bit that was chafed. I wasn't lying along my horse's neck - which would have been necessary for the chafed bit to have been sat on so to speak.

Much better to ask these queries on line where no one can see you blush...
