Hi

I'm after a new long girth as my mare has out grown her current one!

She's currently in an airborn waffle atherstone with elastic at both ends and a sheepskin girth sleeve over the top as she rubs easily.
I think I've narrowed my choice down to either:

Kentaur Verona sheepskin lined girth
Professional choice neoprene girth

Does any one have either of these girths? Do you recommend them?
Or is there another girth that you would recommend?
I like them to have either elastic at both ends or in the middle, but not at one end only!

Many thanks!
:-)

I have the Professional Choice girth, I bought it after reading so many rave reviews on here - and haven't regretted it! Definitely the best girth I have used, it has strong elastic both ends and is really well made. It's ridiculously squishy and comfortable looking and although my mare never had girth "issues", she does seem to move a lot better in this one than previous girths. Am saving for another!

Ventech has perforations in the neoprene. I've only ever had the standard ones and they're great, no experience of the ventech though :)

The fairfax performance girth is unrivalled as far as comfort and results are concerned. You just need to look at it to realise it's amazing! It's not just the shape that helps, it's the prolite padding and the raised padding that means that it runs along the muscle when e horse moves rather than banging against it. The results that went into the making of it show that normal births are unbelivably uncomfortable, the pressure pads showed that a normal girth is more uncomfortable than even a poorly fitting saddle!

Hi ShowjumpingPrincess,
I've looked at them but they are a lot of money!
My mare is changing shape quite a bit so I'm thinking that I may consider a monoflap when I next change her saddle, so I'm reluctant to spend lots on a long girth that won't be of use on a monoflap!
Thanks for the suggestion though!
:-)
