Finally accepted the fact Roo does not fit into the girth we bought him as a 4 year old any more
its a 50 inch and I can just about do it up, but it is a struggle to get buckles to meet girth straps initially which is not improving his demeanor about being girthed up!!
However they don't appear to make this girth any more - it is a professionals choice one with removable sheepskin lining, and a ring at the bottom to clip breastplate etc too, elastic both ends.
He has always been a tiny bit girthy sometimes, not too bad but noticeably better with sheepskin lined girths although also fine with my lovely dressage girth which is contoured and lined with soft leather, so that's an alternative to sheepskin I think.
Needs to have a d ring in the middle as my breastplate has clip fastening. And elastic both ends or flexible throughout, no one ended elastic.
So any recommendations? Needs to come in a 54. Probably normal rather than stud girth ATM as ride him in stud girth so rarely that his current one will just about stretch!
