Latest update is that everything is on site, CCI* is underway, course passed inspection with flying colours and ground is great :) Oh yes and, however briefly, the sun is shining :) :)

Having run one at Barbury and the other at Bicton yesterday, and with both running at our PC Areas this weekend we will sadly not have a runner for the first time since its inception :( We do, however, have people, horses etc staying so we will be there on Saturday and Sunday, plus we always blag our way into the cocktail party so look forward to seeing everyone there - it's always a great event whether you are spectating or competing :)

How exciting to hear such positive news :) Wouldn't believe that 2 years ago I didn't even go as so dry and ground was too firm! This will be my first visit looking forward to seeing people on Saturday (or Friday as we intend arriving in good time!)

Fabulous that the team are in a position to be so confident - have fun everyone and be lucky.

TD, enjoy the cocktail party :D

I'm sitting in the stables as we speak! We had a couple of hours of good sunshine this morning which helped to dry the ground out a little, its not rained yet today so hopefully the ground should get a bit of a break. Walked the CCI xc last night, the ground is pretty good, although obviously wet in some places. The lorry park and stables are quite wet though.

Just seen tomorrows forecast and seriously considering not travelling as weather warnings in place and could be torrential rain. Whilst they may yet still manage to run as abouth 100th round SJing and XC I have to consider my horse as well as my wallet £200 in deisel! Will probably wait til mid pm tomorrow to make decision but as lorry park already pretty wet I am dubious with all the extra rain how everything will cope with the wet. No problems and congratulations to team for keeping the show on the road but then up to riders to consider their own circumstances.

Absolutley gutted :( - entered for first 3 day and under 18 champs - daughters horse fractured his leg on Sunday!! :( Going for an operation on Monday so fingers crossed. Looks like her season has ended too.:(

Good luck to all those able to compete I hope the weather is kind!

Latest update: it hasn't rained yet (yesterday or overnight), currently still dry but very grey looking :o The flood warnings and torrential rain is forecast further north than here, but I don't suppose anyone really knows where the edge of the ran will be... Our forecast says worst weather should pass by mid afternoon so I think we should have a better idea of how lucky/unlucky we've been by tonight.

It rained lightly for about an hour first thing this morning, its stopped now and looks like it could be brightening up a bit. Going to do a course walk again at lunch time but it was still looking perfect last night at 6pm. It hasn't rained over night.

We have w/d too far to go with dodgy forecast, hope for organisers sake it runs but will save Pip for another day.

Sorry to hear that, but understandable decision in your situation. Fingers xd that the weather is (relatively) kind and that those who do get there/are there already have decent conditions nd a good run. Friends of ours have already had a disaster: horse failed first trot-up  Turned out to be a reaction brewing to an injection in his chest - relief it is nothng worse, but totally gutting for all involved :(

My Mum is in XC control all weekend so she's gone up there today... Hoping she can give good updates on the feeling of the organisers etc but last she heard was that they were very confident the ground would hold up... Fingers crossed cus I really want to run tomorrow!!

TD that's awful, poor them :(. I don't need to leave until lunchtime tomorrow, so I'm attempting to remain somewhat optimistic - any updates gratefully received... :)

How is Glanusk for spectators? I literally stumbled across the venue during the week when going to look at a horse, I might go over for the day as it's more or less on my doorstep and I never realised :o

Do they have many trade stands? Really need a new pair of boots!
