Seeing as we're almost half way through the year I thought it was time we all evaluated all the goals we set ourselves back in January.

I'm ashamed to say that I'm not even exactly sure what mine were now but have a feeling that they were along the lines of:

1) 'Finding' my Tills again after she went a bit doolally in the head and started acting like a complete dangerous idiot, the exact opposite of how she'd always been.

2) Getting Boozle (my 5y.o.) out and about doing things successfully.
3) Getting Cybele sound again and doing a passable Prelim test with her...her schooling was appalling after being ragged around as a polo pony.
4) A fairly good Prelim on Rage, just because I think he could be really good and more than just a polocrosse pony!

So far...
1) I did find my Tills again and was LOVING having her back. The downside being that her suspensories started threatening to go again about a month later, so we're now breeding from her. (Before anyone jumps on me she's been sound and unbeatable her whole career, injuries through hard work over many years and not down to confo!!)
2) Had a bit of a slow start on this one as I came off said 5y.o. on the 23rd Jan, which slowed our progress somewhat!! However, she has been out to her first clear round evening and we've lots more planned for the summer.
3) Failed.
4) Have entered P10 and P12 on the 21st, so am working towards this one.

How are you all doing?!

I havent a clue what mine where!

However one of them was probably to get Blossy in foal - which she is, last scan is on thursday then its fingers crossed for the beginning of April next year.

Probably my other goals where to do with Archie and competing - so hes out competing and doing well at Novice Open level now (finally!), doing our first elementary in 4 wks time, hes qualified for the Petplans at Novice Open Level too (and the semis for DML).

Also started jumping him - i think that was probably one of my aims too, but i really cant remember!!

Well, one of mine was to qualify Bo for the Blue Chip Champs...he was lame at the time of the qualifier so we qualified Trike instead

I would also have been aiming to qualify both horses for the Am Champs. So far they both have 1 qualification each...Trike at 90cms, Bo at 1.10m. I'd like to get a 1.20m ticket with Bo but we haven't jumped any qualifiers at that height yet. I also wanted to qualify Bo for our Area ABC Champs...have 2 more chances left so all is not lost yet

Can't think of what the others might have been but all in all i'm happy so far

One of my goals was to go out an about doing equitation and WHP classes with Castle, but that had to be abandoned as we have to sell him

One of my biggest ones was to go hunter trialling a few times, after our disasterous first time last year. Our first hunter trial of 2007 in March was not at all successful, but at our second hunter trial of '07 we came about 35th out of 95 pairs, which I was extremely proud off as it was probably one of the best times I've ever had on him! At our third hunter trial of '07 we came 3rd in Annaharvey in the novice pairs class, which had quite a lot of entries, but I still don't know how we managed to do that well...

Well I wanted to qualify for the BN second rounds but I don't think that's going to happen as we still seem to have 4-fault-itis! We came 9th in the Intro at Grasshoppers which I was really pleased with.

Been XC schooling a few times and clear round a hunter trial, she seems to have got her confidence back. Got my day ticket and hoping to do Brightling Intro, if we complete it I will have achieved my goal for '07.

Blimey cant really remember mine - prob to get Star out doing XC and dressage, do some more SJ, qualify for the SJ AND dressage RC teams....

So far Star has been out XC practice and a sponsored ride and loved - we've not only done some dressage but now affiliated getting 2nd in our first attempt - been out SJ only once but came 3rd BN and the RC qualifiers are coming up....

BUT, theres a big but..Star is now going

Hopefully not sold but just on loan to a fellow HHO!

Think I'm on track! Have a happy healthy foal; William's trundling round Novice happily although I would like to get someone to sort his flatwork out; and Liberty has exceeded all expectations but is as yet unsold.... so not bad really!

Well half of mine have been completed, have qualified for the Novice Restricted Regionals and done our forst elementary

erm i forget most of mine
1 was to take robbie xc schooling which we did and to jump the 3ft6 hedge which we did
another was to enter him in working hunter which we are doing this sunday
compete in unaff eventing and dressage which we are yet to do and improve his flat work which is starting to come along

I’m on track for my goals, I set three main ones for my youngster these were, to compete a ODE which we did the beginning of this month, to affiliate in Dressage, we have our first affiliated competition later this month and finally to qualify for the same showing championships as my dad so we could both compete which we achieved in April first time out…. So I’m a happy bunny!

Goals:
jump in a local comp bigger than a cross-pole without hyper ventilating... - take him out for a days hunting, get round local hunter trials.....learn to trust him and become a team..
build stables, bring him home, not freak out by being a first time Mum!

so far:
have jumped 85cm clear in local comp, won a RC SJ comp, completed an ODE, done two dressage tests (and had an improvement in scores, we did jump out of the arnea the first time tho so....!), gotten round local hunter trials novice course twice - did fall off the first time but not the second...competed in x-jump comp (another one this weekend - we'll try not to get eliminated this time!)
I trust him & we're definitely partners...

stables not built yet but hopefully starting next week!

1. to move up to intermediate level eventing- which will be in a few weeks (fingers crossed) despite a late start to the season through a variety of field accidents!
2. To do some 4yo classes with TB youngster - now totally cancelled due to tendon injury....
you win some you lose some!
