Some of you may remember my beautiful palomino mare, Golden who had the little foal to my stallion late last year. Well, today I took her out for her first hack for a year and a half. She was everything I remembered; absolutely fantastic horse to ride! She was very lively, she always was, and bounced around a lot, but boy did I have a wonderfully exhilarating ride!

Little Breeze, her foal, was fine at home with all her other little buddies and Golden was really forward going and enjoyed every minute of the ride.

Pointless post, but just had so much fun with my beautiful girl.

She's lovely now! She's my little friend (still wouldn't totally trust her mind you) and follows me around all over the place. I can go in the field and do whatever I need to do and she no longer charges or goes to bite or kick. I haven't allowed anyone else in the field just yet, but we are planning to put another horse in there with her and her mother. Then one of my guys is ear-marked to go in aswell. Then we will take the mother out. The ultimate goal is to, once and for all, split the two up and now that her gates are no longer frozen closed, we plan to do this later this week. Fingers crossed it goes well. The filly has met her to-be companions, and likes them.

So do you think it was her forlock then?..

Also, wheres all the piccies?.. We haven't seen Legacy for ages..well I haven't anyway!! What colour is she now?..

I have kept her forelock shorter for all of this time, so can't say for sure if this was the problem or not. It seemed to make a difference so I don't really want to change anything at the moment.

Legacy is lovely. She is a little bigger than Cloud now and is becoming quite grey (whitey colour with a black dorsal). All the burgundy colour is shedding out quickly. I am just waiting for them all to finally shed their winter coats and then I'll go on a photo spree
