Does anyone remember a book called (I think) Misty of Chincoteague? I remember reading it as a child but can't remember what it was about. I remember enjoying the Flambards series by K M Peyton.

I'm the same-I remember the cover, a little chestnut skewbald if I remember correctly, or maybe Palomino Skewbald, but not the story. I seem to remember it was one of a series. Off to google it now.I can remember the name, it had a small coloured pony on the front but can't remember what it was about
Molly Watson - In the Pink. It's the funniest book ever.
The Horse Whisperer by Nicholas Evans is a really good read, much better than the filmThere's much more involvement in the horses, especially Pilgrim.
I recently finished reading Chosen By a Horse by Susan Richards. It was very touching and you could tell it was written by someone who really knows and loves horses. It is sad though - even I had a tear in my eye at the end and I am usually very unsentimental!! I would really reccommend it.
Another recommendation for "Horse Heaven" by Jane Smiley, a very well written, entertaining and fascinating novel set in the horse racing industry in America.
I rather liked that book too!
