Anyone know of any (pref free), like sites with a for sale section, or forums etc

I have loads of pony stuff I need to sell after the loss of my pony last year, rugs, showing saddle all good makes , etc

My friend sold hers on ebay and got bugger all, so Id rather advertise first, and have ebay as a last option

I also have some lovley showjumping jackets and an old hunting jacket I need to sell, as with a big fat vet bill coming in, I dont think I can justify having 5

I'm surprised your friend made bugger all on Ebay, I always sell on there very successfully. I start everything off at 99p and make sure it has a good picture and is described well.

Recently (last week) I have sold

Amigo Neck cover - Used - £25
Rhino Lite Turnout - Used and unwashed - £70
Rambo Jumbo Stable - Used - £69

I would say ebay is quite seasonal though, the rugs would sell well on there at the moment but you would get more for the showing stuff next spring when the showing season is about to start.

eBay isn't as cheap as it once was but I still herald it as the best place to sell stuff.

Make sure you take the best possible photos (close ups) and do an accurate description.

I've sold tons of stuff on ebay and have mostly got good prices for it. Only thing you perhaps don't is when the item you're selling is ten a penny!

Iv never sold on ebay before haha, does anyone have any idea what would be a realistic reserve price

for eg, pony rugs 5 foot all good condition and cleaned / reproofed

masta lightweight stable .....?

Wetherbeeta heavyweight high neck ......?

Shires heavyweight turn out .....?

Just give me a random figure, im clueless

and is it better to start off at 99p and hope it goes over the reserve price, or start off at the reserve?

thanks xx

I wouldn't stick a reserve on anything worth under £100 though as that puts people off. I didn't even put a reserve on my English Leather Saddle

Plus if you start everything at 99p with no reserve and only one picture you don't have to pay to list it

Ebay ebay ebay.

Always buy and sell on there. It's the best place for Equestrian stuff IMO.

yes I've made quite a bit on there plus it only costs pennies to put a reserve on
but do remember they take 10% or is it (15%) for your final selling price.

cant quite remember tbh.

I agree about it being seasonal as well though. Rugs this time of year. showing gear in the summer.
