My lot are now out for the summer and have been for the last few month, but their coats just aren't as nice as they were last year and i'm pretty sure it is because they were rugged up and are now naked.

So would like a nice waterproof summer turnout out and not looking to spend a alot, just something to keep them dry and (hopefully) improve their coats?!

the amigo lite rugs are cheap and look quite good! My TB x just destroyed his new masta lightweight t/o. I was really pleased with it, perfect fit etc and I arrived at the field to find it in 3 peices

I always find Horseware rugs result in a nice coat! The lining polishes them up brilliantly. The Amigos aren't terribly hard wearing but no worse than a normal l/w polyester rug I guess. I have a Rhino for my horse which is very hardwearing but more ££

If you are near a Countrywide store their new Kadence range includes a mesh lined summer TO, I have one and it is excellent and doesn't overheat the horse either. £40.

I've got a weatherbeeta landa lite, it was pretty cheap, about £45 but I've had it for about 3 years n it is still going strong. it's nice n deep as well.

I have a Jumper's light rug, no filling but has a meshed lining.
It is a very tough, rug and has been used in very very heavy rain with no problem.
Cost £35.

i have the amigo 1200 and 600 and i love both of them but get the 1200 if your horse is prone to rug ripping!

Thanks everyone, i have looked at the red amigos, think they would look lovely but bought one last summer and it got shredded, by pony that isn't usually a rug ripper.

Will have a look at the others you have all suggested, thanks.

For lightweights I would go shires everytime.
They fit really well are tough and dont cost a fortune. I have tried others but always go back to shires.
