Goofy update with pics and vids :)

So Goofy has been home nearly a week and in that time i have to say he has exceeded all expectations :) not that we expected him to be naughty but we never thought he would be this straightforward!

He has been doing very short 15/20 minute sessions, starting with some walk/halt/walk and turns on the forehand as the very start of stepping from the inside leg to outside rein. Each session he is better and today he did some small leg yield steps in walk and trot the clever chap!

We now have 3rd gear too and whilst the transition is not yet as engaged or on the aid as it ultimately should be, the actual canter is just lovely! As a rider he really does fill you with confidence, he never peeps at a thing much less spooks, and already feels so elastic and supple :)

Its not all been work though, he has been out tootling round the field and doing some pole work!

Next thur we have a very short lesson with the super Steph Croxford, I cant wait for her to meet him!

cant fault him at all, last night i wanted to ride in the field but it was dark, so off we went in the rain and the dark without even lunging first...........such a dude!
 
wonderfully thanks, but the plate has got to come out as its too prominent and at risk of coming out the skin if i fall or bang it................so just waiting on a date for that but its a simple op with only 5 days out the saddle :)
