I thought this may be useful to someone. I was trying to get some way of watching our pony while we are on the move, I was planning to get a bespoke trailer camera system with a screen, but then found that my GoPro Hero 5 Black works beautifully. The obvious advantage is that not only is it a great trailer camera but I also have the GoPro to record other stuff.

The GoPro wirelessly transmits to an iPhone (or iPad) while on the move so my daughter can watch him from the car while we are travelling. Not only do you then get full HD, but the journey can be recorded (if that's of any use). There is no power supply needed as it will run off its own battery for about 2 hours-ish, then can be charged again in the car ready for the journey home, or run off spare batteries if its a really long journey. It will work in any horsebox or trailer as there is no link to the trailer electrics or the vehicle.

I simply clamped it to the upper front roof frame in the trailer, then the camera can be paired to the iPhone using the GoPro Capture app. It can also be controlled from the app to start/stop recording or change camera settings as needed.

(I originally set this up as our pony didn't really like loading or travelling when we first had him, but we were very patient with him and bought him round with a carrot or two and lots of practice loading, eating, fuss, unloading etc etc.)

Hi, this is exactly what I'm looking to do, would you mind sending me the link to the clamp you got? I haven't seen one like that before.
