How the hell did Diesel get dearer than Petrol, it was always loads cheaper than petrol, then we were told we would be "rewarded" for using a more environmentaly cleaner vehicle, so everyone starts buying Diesel, particularly company car buyers, car makers start making more improved Diesel cars, and now look at the price, why are the bastards robbing us "again"

Know fact - but kept quite - do you know why towns etc have traffic measures that seam to keep you in que's and waiting at lights - because the longer you sit there poluting the air - the more revenue the good old government gets on the fuel you are using....

HAHAHA. There's cameras in ham you know.

Good. I think tax SHOULD increase on petrol, tobacco and alcohol. If the country is going to need the money in future to put right the wrongs caused by these things, then it might aswell come from the things that created them.

AND try going to Scandinavia, then you will see what taxes REALLY are about. My friend lives in Norway, a pint of beer costs £5, a jar of coffee £8 +. When my OH went to Stockholm, the only place they could afford to eat was McDonalds. His dad and sister couldn't get a plain, ordinary meal anywhere for less than £100.

This countries taxes are too low, yet people expect things that in other countries are paid for by high taxes.

I'm not interested in other countries, I dont live there, I have lived here for 55 years and worked my bollocks off for the last 40 years and paid throught the nose for it at every turn while the lying politicians have had there noses in the trough at our expence.
Have you noticed that there is an awful lot of cameras in hospital teatment now, I think they are looking to see if you have any money hidden up your arse, looking for tumors my arse.

?????? Is North Wales a different county - its your petrol stations that set the prices locally and they decide which is going to be more expensive petrol or diesel.

As for hospitals and cameras one of my colleagues had a camera stuck up his "£$% last week and just found out he has bowel cancer, not very good prospects

Whilst Scandinavian taxes are high, they are a) remote and have to import most products and it costs more to ship there (hence coffee being expensive) and b) they get a lot more services for their money

My problem is that there is no drive for efficiency - why are there still quangos, why do we produce benefit information in languages other than English (and Welsh), why is there no cut in civil servants and why do all civil servants get defined benefit pensions? I notice the MP's are immune to the crappy pension system they invented... nice.

I could really clean house if given the chance!
