I'm hoping someone can give me some advice! I need to get a muzzle for my horse, and I think the Greenguard one will probably be our best bet as the grass in her field isn't very long. I tried a bucket muzzle on her but the hole looked like it was in completely the wrong place for her to eat . The problem is, she has incredibly sensitive skin, so I really need to make sure that her muzzle fits perfectly. My sister has a full sized Greenguard muzzle, so I tried that on her this morning and it seems quite large, so I was wondering what the pony size is like. My mare is a 14.2hh Arab, so quite petite, but presumably the pony sized muzzle is designed to be used on much smaller ponies, so might be too small? Help! What size do you use, and on what size pony/ horse?

I prefer roomy muzzles as they are less inclined to rub, my cob size horse has a full size bucket muzzle and full size greenguard. Not sure that helps but I also find the holes are in the wrong place on bucket ones so just enlarge it slightly ;)

Our 14.2 gelding has the full size Greenguard - is is very wide on him but actually from the top of his nose to the bottom of his chin there is some room but not loads - therefore although it looks quite big, I think the small size would have been too small. He is a connie x appy and has a boys head if you know what I mean - not a delicate snout at all. I found it a bit irritating that there is no real sizing guide for Greenguard. With the Shires/Roma muzzles though I put him in a full size muzzle as the cob size was too snug.

His muzzle has not rubbed either and I suspect the smaller one would have done.
