Hi all!

I've just purchased a yearling filly (she turned 1 on 27th April!). Her colouring is changing sooo quickly. Interested to see peoples grey transformations? She's standing at 13.1 at the moment and has pretty gangly baby legs at the minute!

A few people have said she looks blagdon? What do you think?

Don't forget the gallons of Cowboy Magic green spot remover and purple shampoo. :p;):D

Pft! I dont use stain removers! I leave them to be minging then bath them when I want them clean! It might take 2 goings over at the start of the year - 1 fairy liquid, one blue shampoo! Anything that is still coloured after that gets covered in sheep chalk!

Shes not grey. Shes black based with some sort of sabino eque gene, commonly known as Blagdon. Mines the same, looks black with some white flecking in winter, black with more white in summer and when clipped she looks steel grey. Same high white legs, white face and belly white.

This is her about 3 weeks ago with a half grown in summer coat. She is also called Bobbie ??

I initially thought blagdon but she has greyed out so much already, I'm trying to post an updated picture of her but it wont work!

I stand corrected! Shes grey. Underneath the grey she would look like mine though! You don't see many grey cobs. She will be very pretty when shes at the dapple stage!

She has lightened up so quickly it's crazy! I cant wait to see how she matures. She should be a big girl too!

The day I bought him as a 5 year old in Ireland.

And now at 9, it has been a very slow and gradual lighteningm he is def more grey/steal grey versus the bay/brown tones he had when I first got him and the mane is slowly starting to lighten. I'm hoping he stays dark for a good few more years yet as I love it.
