Farrier came early this morning so GreyDonkey got to go out in the field
HURRAH! He couldn't believe his luck . . . put his head down to graze and then I could literally see the wheels turning . . . hang on, I don't have a headcollar on . . . I'M FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! And off he went. If he could have turned cartwheels he would have. He behaved like a cross between a particularly overjoyed Tigger and Desert Orchid for a good three/four minutes then gave a big sigh and put his head down and scoffed. It was soooo lovely to see him so obviously enjoying himself . . . performed some very impressive extended trot . . . now let's hope that the combination of the shoes, bute, turnout and being brought back into work (that's next week) do their job and he comes sound. Fingers crossed. Certainly didn't look lame this morning
.
He only went out for a couple of hours - and I will turn him out again this afternoon while I skip him out, etc.
