Pony came with a mane which had been cut with scissors parallel to the floor which did not look good... Friend pulled it with a solocomb and it looked better but then started to stand on end. It's been properly pulled since but half of it is still very thick and standing on end up towards the ears. He's rubbed the bit on the lower half so that is thinner and is laying flat nicely.
I've tried putting it in loose plaits and have pretty much left it alone for almost 4 months but it is still standing on end!
Question is do I just give up and hog it? Will it ever lay flat? Has anyone else been through this? Is there light at the end of the tunnel??!!!
He's a section D. I really don't want to hog him but he looks like a right pleb...
