Ahhhhh I am so angry!
My thoroughbred is up for part loan, for unlimited riding because I have a new rescue mare who requires most of my time, and with a back injury I am not risking riding my thoroughbred at the moment because he is fresh as a daisy, he is in a new field with lots of grass and it's sent him loopy, he has had about a month or month and a half off work because I have had so much to do, moving places, friends passing away and family in hospital..
So I had put an advert up for part loan and had explained in the advert that I don't suggest riding at the moment, but if they felt they could control a horse that WILL rear when asked to stand, and jogs alot, with the odd excitable buck when going into canter, then they are welcome too. I suggested starting with lunging to calm him down, and get a bond going, maybe even just grooming to begin with!
I desperately need a sharer for him because hes getting very bored, pacing his field, and hes an ex-racer, although he doesn't have a ''typical'' ex-racer attitude, he definately needs to let off some steam!
I have had loads of people contact me now, and I ALWAYS say to them, you are aware that he is not an easy ride at the moment and does rear through impatience, etc etc'' aren't you?, and I get a reply off ''Maybe he is not the right horse for me'', or ''Oh I see, not really what I am looking for''
And whats worse is, I have stated that noone can ride or even come near my horse without the appropriate insurance, yet ive had a few people say ''I dont have insurance but im sure we could come to some sort of agreement''
?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! If you were going to consider riding someone elses horse, would you not read first to check that aforementioned horse isn't likely to kill you?!?! Even more so, wouldnt you want to be insured before doing so?!?!
Im so angry! My poor boy just needs someone to love him and get him moving, not wannabes that think they can handle him, then when realisation hits that hes a handful and more than they can deal with, they timewaste!
