As requested some pics of the pups. These were when they first arrived. They have grown so much already!!

This is Wroxeter - my boyfriend is keeping her, Wroxy for short.

Sorry for so many pics, but they are sooooooooooooooo cute!!

I was only joking, you're too far away, anyway

Don't complain....I thought I got a German Shepherd puppy eight months ago, I have since discovered he is actually a small grey pony - I even walk the bugger on a lunge!

They are gorgeous, thanks for posting these. I don't want to sound as if I am interfering but it looks from those pics as if they need their nails trimming (could well be why the bitch didn't want to know them). It is quite easy to do, just snip off the very ends with either dog nail clippers, or nail scissors. Apologies if they are fine and its just how they look in the pics

When we got our female her nails were shocking, she used to jump up and rake my arm really badly....she was a good bit older than yours so she just got plenty of roadwork to rasp them down - oldest trick in the book!

Hi!!

I have no idea as to their breeding lines. I am trying to get hold of the papers from the guy who bred them, but it is not proving too easy.

They were an accident when his two GSD's got a bit too friendly. Mum rejected them at 4 weeks and he was going to have them destroyed so his girlfriend asked me to take them on and sell them for him.

He thinks the parents have papers, but the guy he got the dogs off says that he can't find them. So I'm just waiting to see.

Bear is my favourite and my boyfriend is having Wroxy. (am working on my Mum to see if we can keep Bear.

Baby bear is gorgeous - he loves to just sit on your lap and cuddle!! I had all 7 of them sat on my legs today. They all just pile on top!!

Such massive timewasters...

I'm Whitchurch area, could maybe pop over and see them. Will try and see when I am free and pm you.. I would start placing notices in vets etc to try and home/sell them as soon as possible. Not a good time of the year really for puppy sales, don't think he can expect much for them either if he can't find papers, and don't suppose the parents are hip scored

Sorry to be negative and not getting at you at all, you are a hero for taking them on.

The old fashioned way of naming a litter, all the puppies' registered names began with A, so I meant our first litter.
Mum was a little naive back then and hadn't intended to start her GSD breeding career so soon...luckily it all turned out OK.

Some people go round the alphabet several times...we only managed to get to 'B', our 'C' litter ended in tragedy and I don't know if we will ever breed again. But I do love looking at other people's babies!

Ahh - makes sense!! Sorry to hear about your 'c' litter.

Our names have just happened! - Wroxeter is so named cos my boyfriend lovers cricket and he plays for Wroxeter cricket club - God knows what he'll do if he changes club!!

Bear - becase he looks like a brown bear!! Baby bear cos he is very similar to bear but with a bit more brown and not quite bear cos he is the other black one in the litter but doesn't look like a bear!!

The cheeky boys - they are pretty much identical and very cheeky!!

The other little girl - haven't come up with anything for her yet!!

Obvioulsy though there new owners will get to name them whatever they like, but at least we have some to use to refer to them.

If I lived nearer i'd come and get a baby bear cuddle!! Sooo cute! I am sure they are going to find homes very quickly, they are adorable! Can't believe he was going to have them destroyed... heartbreaking... good on you for taking them on!I sometimes wish I had got round to breeding from my old GSD but I am sure I would have never had time for anything else if I had puppies running around and I'm bad enough when I have to part with foals, let alone puppies as well!!

what was your old GSD like?

They are not a breed I have had a lot to do with, apart from the next door neighbour used to have some.

But reading a bout them they seem to be amazing dogs.

Bear has certainly wormed his way into our hearts and possibly into our home for good!!

He was amazing... I am actually scared of most big dogs, i shake at the sight of dobermans, rotties and GSDs but I went round to see my friend and their puppies were out playing and one just sat at my feet the whole time I was there, needless to say I ended up buying him when he was old enough, he was like a cuddly bear and just spent his whole life following me everywhere and had such a good nature. He was really well bred Jasueter x Cosalta lines with alot of Norwulf in the breeding and his hip score was 3:3 which in GSD is fantastic, his breeder had hysterics when I said he had a 3:3 hip score! They are very loyal dogs.

Thats my old collie in the pictures... he cost £40 from the local Sheep man, who lived in an old chicken coop... he was just as loyal. We lost the collie as a 12yo and a year later the GSD as a 4yo, very sad... we now have 2 absolutely crazy border collies, one is a pedigree the other a pikey dog but love both the same, although they can drive you round the twist with their antics

Oh they are adorable! (this is MM's daughter, being nosy.... Hi Mum!) Hacking_hack - I think Mum must have been round the alphabet a few times - think we may be back to A now, as Saffie, who's 10, is Xena, and there's been at least one litter since her! It was always fun trying to think of 7 or 8 names for GSD's beginning with Q and Y!
They really are gorgeous though - I'm getting excited about breeding a litter off Evie already, and she's only 5 months old!
By the way, I love the name Wroxy!

He was huge!! Took up the whole back seat of my car, although when both were in there the collie insisted on sitting in the middle so the GSD was squished up on a third of the seat looking very uncomfortable lol!
He was obsessed with toys, would collect them all up and sit with them... we always say the collie made him obsessed because he stole his first toy we ever bought him and tore it to shreds in front of him...

I don't know if i'll get another, its one of those we'll have to wait and see what happens, probably be the same as before if I do... the i'm not looking but if the right one came along scenario!

Our JRT does that to the lab, although she is smaller than most JRTs she can certainly spread herself out!!!

The more I see of these pups the more I like the breed. Plus they are just so cute!! Baby bear was being a bit boisterous this morning so I told him no and he ignored me. Second time he still ignored me so then he got a bit of a shake in the scruff of his neck. He yelped, looked at me then ran really fast (well it was really fast for him but just looked like a slow bound to me!!) to his basket. Sat in the basket and chewed the blanket for a few seconds then jumped out and bounded up to me, sat very quietly by my side, licked my hand and then sat on my knee with the other 6 and went to sleep!!

You could see the thought process - indignance at being told off, then naughty little boy thinking what can I do next, then realising he was wrong, the apology and then a cuddle/sleep!!!

Also this morning one of the cheeky boys was playing with the kitten. And you could see she was playing the game as much as he was!! Really funny to watch!! But I think my horses are getting a bit cheesed off that I spend so much time with the puppies!!!!

Lol, they are funny!

My puppy was walking down the yard one day whilst I was in making the feeds but I could see him though the window and my friends stallion lunged out and grabbed him by the scruff and pulled him into the stable, all you could hear was panic shrieking and yelping luckily my dad was down by the stables and opened the door before I was out of the feed room and he came out like a bullet out of a gun run across the yard flat out yelping until he got back to me... poor puppy! I am surprised he ever went near a horse again!! Poor puppy!

It sounds like you are getting hooked Taylored.

Puppies are such time wasters, I used to spend hours with them. You won't remember it M8 but I had one litter when you were about 5 months old, you spent half your day in a moses basket in a corner of the puppy kennel !

My darling daughter makes me sound like a puppy farmer, I have been ONCE round the alphabet, my next litter (hopefully) will be "B" again, but this is over a period of 31 years. Mistleteffy, those were all well known names in the GSD world, Margaret Barron who had the Norwulf affix passed away recently at about the same time as my Mum, I think the affix is now being carried on by Tracey Wall who used to be her kennel manager.

Thats really sad, but glad the name is being carried on.

I don't really know alot about GSD breeding, all I know is my puppy had a good pedigree, good hips and was my best friend!

He was by Jasueter Dark Kazper (Norwulf the Morris Dancer) out of Cosalta Pizzazz (Norwulf Secret Rhapsody at Jasueter)

I did look at maybe buying a Jasueter puppy but last time I looked they were asking £1000 a puppy... thats almost as much as some horse foals!!!

(well... as much as some horse foals!!)

How much

I know I haven't bred a litter for a while but that is ridiculous. Round here you can still get a well bred puppy for around £500, which I still think is quite high tbh. Makes me feel quite guilty as I was given Evie by her breeder. No reason for him to do so, he had his first bitch from me but I sold her to him
blush.gif
. If I do have a litter from the horror I will certainly be offering him a puppy back if he is interested.

And just to jump on the band wagon, here is Evie at 7 1/2 weeks.
